Skillet Apple Oat Bake
You'll need
- 3 apples, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
How I make it
- Heat your oven to 375°F. Melt the butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Lay the apples in the butter and cook 5 minutes, until they soften.
- Whisk the milk, egg, honey, cinnamon and salt in a bowl, then stir in the oats.
- Pour it all over the apples. Don't stir.
- Bake 25 minutes, until golden at the edges. Let it rest 5 minutes.
